Thanks to the development and adaptation of card manufacturing processes at Transactis, Societe Generale can now offer mobile payment users an instant digital card.
Previously, when clients cancelled their cards due to loss or theft, a new card was sent to them within a few days. They had no means of payment and could not withdraw cash during this waiting period.
Following the launch of Apple Pay in 2018, Transactis teams gave some thought to its clients’ request to capitalise on this mobile payment method and to develop a solution enabling holders to access their funds during these few days.
From now on, when a client cancels his card, a new digital card will be immediately available in his phone wallet. The user will then receive a notification to inform him that he may continue to pay for his purchases in store and on-line using his smartphone while waiting to receive his new plastic card by post.
